Christy Steffy, MBA, CFRE

Development Officer

Prior to joining The Catholic Foundation in 2018, Christy worked in the communications services sector for over 20 years.  She received her Bachelor of Science from Kent State University and her MBA from Franklin University.  She is also a Certified Fundraising Expert (CFRE) and an expert on planned giving.  Christy represents the Foundation’s mission by taking the time to understand donors’ intent and advise them in their charitable journey.

Christy grew up in Dover, Ohio and attended St. Joseph elementary school.  She received the sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion, Reconciliation and Confirmation at St. Joseph Parish where her parents still attend.

Since moving to the Columbus area, she has been active at St. Catharine with the PSR Support Team, Alpha, Women’s Ministry, and other ministries with the parish. She formerly served as a Board member of Bexley Music Parents and also as a volunteer with Bexley Women’s Club, Rotary, and several other civic organizations.  Christy currently sits on the Board of the Charitable Gift Planners of Central Ohio.

Christy is a parishioner of St. Catharine of Siena and lives in Bexley with her husband, Eric and their two children, Genevieve and Nadia.  In her spare time, she enjoys landscaping and gardening, reading, water sports, music and traveling with her family.
