Loren Brown became the seventh President & CEO of The Catholic Foundation in 2011 where he leads a mission of stewarding the charitable gifts of the faithful for the needs of the 23-county Diocese of Columbus. Established in 1984, The Catholic Foundation is one of the largest Catholic foundations in the United States. Through a professional team and Loren’s leadership, The Catholic Foundation manages over 1,500 endowment funds and about $250 million in assets. Granting impact by The Catholic Foundation during Loren’s leadership has grown from $5 million to over $20 million annually for our parishes, Catholic schools, and ministries throughout the diocese.
For over 30 years, Loren has devoted his career to serving the needs of individuals and families in the Catholic Church and communities. His experiences and leadership over the years has always addressed the needs of the poor and vulnerable, opportunities for quality education and faith formation, and care for at-risk and underserved families and communities.
Loren earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from The University of Toledo, and with honors earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from The University of Notre Dame.
Loren formerly served as a Board member of Ohio Dominican University and the Columbus Legatus Chapter. He helped establish the National Consortium of Catholic Foundations where he is a current Board member. He serves in parish homebound ministry, is a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Edward the Confessor Council and is a member of the Ohio Buckeye Trail Association.
Loren and his wife, Stacey are members of the St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church in Granville, Ohio.
