Julie Barber

Development Officer

Julie brings a wealth of passion and expertise to The Catholic Foundation, drawing on over two decades of experience in Catholic education and leadership.

At her alma mater, St. Francis DeSales High School, Julie made a significant impact as the Director of Enrollment Management. She spearheaded the school’s first-ever brand campaign and transformed their strategic marketing approach, consistently surpassing enrollment goals. Her diverse background encompasses roles in the classroom, coaching, admissions offices, and athletic programs, all tied together by her deep commitment to Catholic values and community building.

A proud Bobcat, Julie earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Ohio University while excelling as a four-year varsity athlete. She and her husband, Matt, who is also a DeSales graduate, call Church of the Resurrection their home. Together, they have four children: Andrew (married to Julia), Cameron (married to Ben), Jacqueline, and Nathan. As third-generation DeSales graduates, they embody a legacy of Catholic education.

When she’s not meeting with donors, you’ll find Julie exploring her hometown of Columbus, nurturing her growing garden, perfecting new recipes in the kitchen, or organizing memorable gatherings that bring people together.
