Ambassadors of the Faith

St. John Fisher is the patron saint of The Catholic Foundation because of his stewardship of endowments. St. John Fisher Stewards is a group of volunteers from parishes, schools and ministries who help foster planned giving by working with The Catholic Foundation to bring awareness to their organization’s endowment fund.

St. John Fisher Stewards receive:

  • Installation blessing at a Mass celebrated by the Bishop
  • Luncheon and training session
  • St. John Fisher identification lapel pin
  • Name listed on The Catholic Foundation’s website
  • “St. John Fisher” by Fr. Vincent McNabb, O.P.

Role of a St. John Fisher Steward

Two year volunteer commitment by someone who has an existing affiliation with The Catholic Foundation. Responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling and facilitating endowment awareness initiatives including individual meetings, gatherings, announcements and bulletin inserts.
  • Identifying parish or community events or spaces for the promotion and awareness of endowments.
  • Identifying parishioners and others who may be at the right time in their life to know more about how to support the endowment through the services of The Catholic Foundation.
  • Identifying parishioners and others who are professional advisors and may be interested in learning more about the Foundation’s Professional Advisor Program (PAG).
