St. Vincent Family Center Needs Your Help!

Give Now!

On February 2, 1875, the original St. Vincent Orphanage opened its doors to 8 young children, displaced from their families with no place to call home. A small group of kindhearted nuns managed this special place, dedicated to taking in and taking care of destitute children. 143 years later, St. Vincent Family Center still serves as a special place devoted to caring for children and families in desperate need of hope and support. Only now, they provide care to over 5,000 children every year – in their building and throughout our community.

As the community needs have evolved over the years, so has St. Vincent Family Center – but the building hasn’t always kept up. The winter months are now in full force, and the Orphanage turned Family Center is in need of a desperate upgrade – a new boiler.

The ADAMH Board of Franklin County will match all contributions 50:50 to defray the cost of this urgent capital need. The Catholic Foundation has agreed to grant $20,000 which leaves an additional $20,000 to be raised.

St. Vincent Family Center is part of our Bridge The Gap program that connects generous donors to local groups, organizations, schools, and parishes that need additional financial resources to help with a project or program.
