  • The Morality of Automation, Robotics, and AI Fund

    The purpose of the Fund shall be to provide for the study of ethics at John Carroll University in the fields of automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI), particularly as it pertains to the replacement or elimination of human jobs. Distributions may be used for, but are not limited to, funding symposiums, academic white papers and other publications, research, policy advocacy, and the general advancement of the study of ethical issues in these areas with the goal of promoting the Catholic Church's teachings on this subject.

    This fund shall provide financial assistance to deserving students who attend St. Mary Magdalene School and who are also parishioners of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Columbus, Ohio.     The purpose of the Fund shall be to provide tuition assistance to students attending St. Francis DeSales High School located in Columbus, Ohio. First preference for assistance shall be given to those students who come from a single-parent family. Secondary preference shall be given to families that demonstrate financial need.
