#GivingTuesdayNow
Posted April 29, 2020

The #GivingTuesday movement is mobilizing a new global day of giving in response to the unprecedented need created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tuesday, May 5 is being designated as #GivingTuesdayNow and people around the world are being encouraged to support small businesses and nonprofits in their communities. Some things you can do on this day of generosity include:
- Support healthcare workers by donating supplies, thanking them, and staying home
- Give to your parish, school or social service organization that you normally support with an additional financial contribution. The Catholic Foundation’s Catholic Emergency Response Fund is a great option for getting dollars to those in our Diocese with the most pressing needs
- Help out small businesses by buying gift cards or ordering take out
- Donate food to your local food pantry, help an elderly neighbor with their grocery shopping, or sign up to donate blood
