SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT & CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

St. Paul Parish | Email

Scott Hartman offers over 18 years of nonprofit, development and planned giving experience all of which has been in service to the Catholic Church. A native of Latrobe, PA, Scott worked at The Catholic Foundation from 2002 until 2013 before going to St. Francis DeSales High School where he led the development team and oversaw the first stage of a multi-year modernization project. Under Scott’s guidance, the front of the school was remodeled, and a new service road and parking area were installed.  In 2017, feeling a call to return to the work that sparked his passion for philanthropy, Scott returned to The Catholic Foundation where he currently serves as the Vice President of Development.

Scott earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Ohio Dominican University and enjoys volunteering and giving back. He served as an assistant coach for the girls’ soccer team at St. Francis DeSales from 2015 to 2018 and has volunteered for numerous other teams and clubs. He served on the finance committee at St. Matthias Parish, is a past president of their School Advisory Board, and is a former RCIA teacher there. Scott currently is the Chair-Elect of the Board of the Jubilee Museum and Catholic Cultural Center in Columbus.

Scott lives in Westerville with his wife Laura and their three teenaged children where they are parishioners at St. Paul the Apostle Church. He is an active volunteer at both St. Paul School and St. Francis DeSales High School where his children are students and even lends a hand at Our Lady of Peace School in Clintonville where his wife, Laura, is a teacher.
