Bob is the Founder of Cardinal Health, Inc., a global provider of products and services that improve the safety and productivity of health care. Bob founded Cardinal Health at the age of 26, transforming the company from its inception as a food wholesaler into the leading provider of products and services supporting the health care industry. Bob served as CEO of Cardinal Health until April 2006.

Bob currently serves on the Board of Directors of Yum! Brands. Between 2000 to 2018, he was a director at American Express, Nordstrom, CBS Corporation and its predecessor, Viacom, Inc.  He also has served on the Board of Trustees of Battelle Memorial Institute and Ohio University during the centennial year (2009).
